UML 11th General Convention: Vote counting underway

Out of 2,263 delegates eligible to vote, 2,227 cast their ballots, while 36 were absent. Voting, which began Wednesday morning, concluded at 7:00 AM today, using 80 electronic voting machines.

KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Vote counting has begun for the new leadership of the 11th National General Convention of the CPN-UML.

Sanuraj Pokharel, Vice-Chair of the Central Election Commission, said counting started at 10:00 AM at the convention venue in Bhrikutimandap. He added that the results are expected to be announced within three hours.
