UK Member of Parliament pledges to resume direct flight connecting London-Kathmandu

Gareth Thomas, small business minister of the UK, said their government will initiate resuming direct flights between the two countries.

KATHMANDU, Jan 15: A member of parliament of the United Kingdom (UK) has said that the UK Government will initiate resuming direct air connectivity between Nepal and the UK.

Gareth Thomas, small business minister of the UK, said their government will initiate resuming direct flights between the two countries. Thomas expressed his commitment in an interaction titled ‘Nepal-UK Relation’ organized at Portcullis House of the UK Parliament, Westminster on Monday.


According to international media, around 250 people travel each day between Nepal and London. In addition, many UK visitors to Nepal go trekking in the Himalayas, with some climbing Everest, the world’s highest mountain.
