KATHMANDU, Dec 22: There will be a direct chartered flight from Kathmandu to Phuket, the renowned tourist destination in Thailand, on January 21. Rupsey Holidays has announced that Himalaya Airlines will operate a direct flight on the Kathmandu-Phuket route on January 21.
Previously, the company had three direct chartered flights on the Kathmandu-Vietnam route. Rupsey Holidays Managing Director, Ramesh Parajuli, highlighted that this marks the first time in history that two tourist hubs are connected by a direct flight.

Parajuli further stated that there are plans to facilitate Nepali tourists traveling directly to Phuket on this flight and bring tourists from various countries to Kathmandu from Phuket. As a prominent tourist center in Asia, Phuket attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
The company has set the one-way fare for this flight at Rs 35,000 per person, covering a flight duration of 3 hours and 10 minutes.
