Top leaders of UDMF, Tharuhat Samyukta Sangharsha Samiti and Tharu Kalyankarini Sabha on Wednesday evening signed a four-point agreement at Singha Durbar agreeing to form an 11-member joint taskforce to forge consensus on issues related to state restructuring. [break]
The taskforce is entrusted to recommend number and names of federal states to be formed in Tarai on the basis of culture, history, and identity of various groups in the region.
The taskforce will also recommend appropriate form of governance and electoral system for the provincial and central legislature.
