RAUTAHAT, Dec 17: United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) leader and Chairman of Sadhbhawana Party Chairman Rajendra Mahato said that the UDMF is preparing for a final round of protests to address its demands.

Mahato who has been staging Birgunj-centric protests warned that the UDMF will launch its final round of protests from Friday as the government has been turning deaf ears to its demands. He made it clear that there will be no talks with the government in any levels as the latter is hell-bent on suppressing the Madhesi protests through security forces.

However, he claimed that the protests will be peaceful.

"The government has not been able to address our demands though we have lifted blockade in all check points except Birgunj," he added, "UDMF is preparing for stern protests by imposing blockade in all border points from Friday."

Mahato warned that the protests will shut down all government offices, marketplaces, industries and highways completely in the Tarai districts.
