UCPN (Maoist) to coax Baidya camp for Nov 19 polls

KATHMANDU, Sept 11: An office bearers’ meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) has decided to coax Baidya-led CPN (Maoist) party to take part in the Constituent Assembly elections and conduct polls on the slated time.



“At a meeting held at UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Dahal’s residence in Lazimpat on Wednesday morning, the leaders decided to convince Baidya-led CPN (Maoist) to take part in the Constituent Assembly polls on the stipulated time,” Dahal’s aide Chuda Mani Khadka told Republica on telephone. [break]



The meeting participated by party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also decided that leaders Baburam Bhattarai, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Post Bahadur Bogati will participate in the sit-ins that is to be organized at all the 75 District Administration Offices. The sit-ins are aimed at pressuring the government to release their party cadre Ram Prasad Adhikari on Friday.



Ram Prasad has been convicted for murdering Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Fujel, Gorkha.
