CPN-UML leader Hari Prasad Gharti Magar claimed that the Maoist candidates have been openly violating the election code of conduct. “I have filed a complaint at the district election office but the office has not taken the issue seriously,” added Magar.
Meanwhile, candidates of Kapilvastu district have also violated the election code conduct by using vehicles bearing Indian registration number for the election campaign.
Candidates of Tarai Madhes Democratic Party, Sadbhavana Party, CPN-UML, among others, were found using vehicles bearing Indian number plates for the election campaign.
Chief of District Election Office, Kapilvastu, Kashi Ram Gaire said that they have not received any written complaint regarding violation of the election code of conduct. “We will take action against the candidates violating the election code of conduct,” said Gaire.
