POKHARA, Dec 13: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nepal, Saeed Hamdan Al Naque laid the foundation stone for the new building of the Madarsa Aljame Atul Islamiya at Miyanpatan here on Monday.
The building would be constructed on the premises of the Maula Islamic Community Primary School.
It is stated that the building would be constructed at a total cost of approximately Rs 20 million. The District Development Committee (DDC), Kaski has allocated Rs 2 million and the District Education Office, Kaski Rs 1.5 million for the construction of the building while the remaining cost would be mobilised through donation, the Muslim Religious Service Committee stated.
Speaking on the occasion, the UAE ambassador said that he would take the proposal before the UAE government and the donor agencies in his country for mobilizing support for the Nepali Muslim community. RSS
