#Melamchi Flood Update

SINDHUPALCHOWK, June 16: Two youths who were stranded on a hotel roof due to flooding in Melamchi River were rescued on Wednesday morning. They were rescued from a hotel located at Melamchi Bazar.
The hotel was inundated since the flooding in Melamchi River took place on Tuesday afternoon. They had to rush to the roof as the floors below were completely inundated. They were waiting for the rescue team as they had to spend the night on the rooftop.
Nepal Army in a helicopter in coordination with the local administration rescued them after nearly 15 hours. A rope was dropped for the youths to climb in from the helicopter. They were dropped at a safe place.
