Two NCP leaders suspended for destroying compound walls of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium

CHITWAN, May 30: Ruling Nepal Communist Party, Chitwan, has suspended two NCP leaders for their alleged involvement in destroying the compound walls of the under-construction Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium.

CHITWAN, May 30: Ruling Nepal Communist Party, Chitwan, has suspended two NCP leaders for their alleged involvement in destroying the compound walls of the under-construction Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium.


Prakash Kandel has been suspended permanently while Bhairav Bastakoti for two months, according to a statement issued by the NCP, Chitwan. The statement signed by the NCP district chairperson Yam Bahadur Pariyar has demanded legal action against all involved in the destruction and compensation for the damage. The party also expressed sorrow over the attack.

The NCP consoled the Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, which led the project, asking it not to be deviated from such attack, and pledged its help for the project in the days to come.


The police have so far arrested 17 people including Kandel and Bastakoti in connection with the destruction.
