They were released as per the order of the Bara district judge Bhoj Raj Sharma upon hearing of a case of habeas corpus filed against the local administration. The leaders were under custody for committing public offense, on the charge of indulging in vandalism in industries during the Tarai Madhesh agitation.They had been jailed on September 27 for failing to deposit the bail amount specified by the District Administration Office, Bara. The case was filed by Bar Association district chair Ram Chandra Singh. RSS
