Police said the bus that was traveling to Gaighat hit Shah of Jandaul-6, who was commuting along the highway on foot.
Initial police investigation has suspected over-speeding as the cause of the accident.
The bus and its driver are under police control.
Similarly, Keshav Bista of Baraha, in Sunsari district was killed when a bus hit his motorcycle at Bhangaha road section along the East-West Highway in Saptari.
The bus (Na 4 Kha 3203) knocked Bista’s motorcycle (Ba 40 Pa 4969) while he was heading to Sunsari at around 10 p.m. Thursday.
