Two killed in Rolpa bus accident

ROLPA, Jan 7: Two passengers have been killed in a bus accident in Rolpa on Monday.

ROLPA, Jan 7: Two passengers have been killed in a bus accident in Rolpa on Monday. The ill-fated bus ( Ba 1 Kha 5521) belonging to Aashirwaad Yatayat Ltd skidded off some 50 meters from the road at Jutung Khola of Lungri Rural Municipality-3 of the district. The deceased have been identified as 11 months old Nitesh BK and 24 years old driver Navaraj Ale.

The infant died on the spot whereas Ale, a permanent resident of Swargadwari Municipality, breathed his last on the way while being carried to the nearby hospital for the treatment, according to the local police office, Sulichaur.


The vehicle was en route to Jutung Khola from Sulichaur. According to the local witness Anil GC, the bus could not move forward with the excess number of passenger and skidded back and lost the control. Of total 30 passengers, 21 have received minor injuries whereas two passengers are reported to be in serious condition and are receiving treatment in local health post.
