JANAKPUR, May 24: Two kidnappers were shot dead in a clash with the police at Dudhmati Bridge along the Janakpur-Kurgha road section in Dhanusha district on Sunday morning.
Those killed have been identified as Udgar Mandal, 24, of Dhanushadham-4, and another man in his twenties, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Yagya Prasad Shivakoti.
The police said that the incident took place after the security personnel tried to free Ram Dular Sah, proprietor of Ganesh Brick Factory from the clutch of kidnappers who had kidnapped him seven days ago. The police said they had to shoot at the persons as the kidnappers retaliated.
