Two killed in capital road mishaps

KATHMANDU, April 19: Two people died in separate road accidents in the capital.

Cyclist Krishna Prasad Gautam, 35, who was seriously injured after being hit by a truck, Na 4 Kha, 7077, at KMC-14 on Saturday evening, died while receiving treatment.


According to police, Gautam, hailing from Sindhupalchok, was currently residing in Lalitpur. Police have impounded the truck and arrested the driver.

Likewise, a motorcyclist was killed when tipper, Ba 3 Kha 4921, and motorcycle, Ba 65 Pa 7749, collided head-on at Tokha-13 yesterday evening.

Biker Sunil Gurung, 31, living in Futung, who was rushed to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, died while receiving treatment.
