KATHMANDU, Dec 19: Two people have been arrested in Chitwan with 380 kg of marijuana. The police reported the arrest of the suspects from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, Aanptari, on Tuesday morning.
The arrested people have been identified as 45-year-old Anil Giri from Bharat Sambal and 30-year-old Rajpal from the same location.
During an inspection of the Indian truck (JH-02 W 9631), police officers from the District Police Office Chitwan discovered 28 bags concealed in a false compartment in the front cabin of the truck.
Both people taken into custody are identified as the driver and co-driver. The police have stated that further investigation into the matter is underway.
