Two arrested for misbehaving with Janakpur Bolts supporters in NPL

After the match, the chaotic and arrogant group used weapons and injured Janakpur supporters and used sexist and racist words through social media.

KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Police have arrested two people for misbehaving with Janakpur Bolts supporters following the final match of Nepal Premier League (NPL).


The arrested individuals have been identified as Ashok Saud, 21, originally hailing from Doti and temporarily living in Kirtipur’s Panga, and Ganesh Saud, 19, a resident of Doti and temporarily living in  Kirtipur’s Bhajangal.

The final match was held between Janakpur Bolts and Sudurpaschim Royals at the Tribhuvan University International cricket ground in Kirtipur. Janakpur Bolts registered a thrilling victory in the NPL final match. After the match, the chaotic and arrogant group used weapons and injured Janakpur supporters and used sexist and racist words through social media.


The Madheshi Commission made written correspondence with the police headquarters to take action against those who had attacked Janakpur Bolts supporters.
