NAWALPARASI, Jan 2 : Police have arrested two people from Belwani, Susta Rural Municipality-5, Nawalparasi, for brutally killing dogs and sharing a video of the act on social media.
According to the District Police Office, Rajkumar Saru Magar, 33, killed five puppies and their mother on December 28 at Thandighat, near the Narayani River. The incident, which occurred around 4:30 pm, was recorded by Aman Kumar Chidi Magar, 28, and later posted on his Facebook account.

The video sparked outrage among locals and animal rights activists, prompting a complaint to the authorities. Following an investigation, police identified and arrested the two individuals.
Police confirmed that the act violated the animal cruelty provisions under the National Penal Code, 2017. Rajkumar Saru Magar and Aman Kumar Chidi Magar were taken into custody on Wednesday. The Area Police Office, Belatari, is conducting further investigations after obtaining a seven-day remand from the District Court, Parasi.
