KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Police have arrested two people in possession of brown sugar in Biratnagar. The arrested are Nishan Chaudhary, 22, of Sunsari Itahari Sub-Metropolis-9 and Diwas Tamang, 28, of Itahari-12, according to the Provincial Police Office, Biratnagar.

A police team of Biratnagar-14 Jatuwa frisked them as they looked suspicious at around 9PM on Thursday and recovered brown sugar from them. According to SP Navin Raj Rai, spokesperson for the Province 1 Police Office, 3 grams and 7 milligrams of brown sugar was recovered from the pocket of the jacket worn by Chaudhary. The arrested youths were on a motorcycle (Province 1-02-046 Pa 1187).

Both Tamang and Chaudhary are under police custody and further investigation is underway.
