Bir Bahadur Gurung of Gorkha and his wife Sirkumari were murdered Wednesday night. Gurung was a security guard at the Sikles Hydropower Project power house.
Superintendent of Police Subash Chaudhary said both the accused have confessed to killing the Gurung couple in their sleep. They told journalists that they were under the influence of alcohol when they had killed the couple with a khukuri knife.
Police said they have recovered a pair of earrings belonging to Sirkumari from the accused.
