KATHMANDU, July 10: Gorkha Brewery has brought 'Tuborg Classic' -- a premium strong beer with Scotch Malts, for the Nepali beer fans. The company organized a gala event at Hotel Sitasharan of Janakpur on Sunday to announce the launch. 

The company had introduced Tuborg in Nepal in 1990. Issuing a statement on Sunday, the company said that it was the first international brand to be launched here. 

The company said it was highly optimistic and confident in the beer sector and that it would keep up its spirit of being innovative. The company expects to be a growth driver in the market, according to the statement. 

The statement further added that the 'Stronger & Smoother' tagline of Tuborg Classic conveys that it was a refreshing drinking experience to beer connoisseurs. Tuborg Classic contains imported Scotch Malts for a stronger and smoother taste.

The company's Managing Director Arun Adhikary said that the company had created a unique recipe in collaboration with the Carlsberg Group to cater to the Nepalese consumers, according to the statement. 

According to the company, a 650 ml bottle of Tuborg Classic with Scotch Malts has 6.5 percent alcohol. The bottle is available at Rs 310.
