Some students who are furious with low marks that they obtained in the recently published results of the MA first year in English literature set a couple of office chairs ablaze and smashed window-panes.[break]
They failed to burn down the department as university staffers immediately locked the office and fled the scene.
Students have demanded that the TU re-examine their answer papers and republish the results. However, the TU authorities have ruled out possibilities of reexamining of answer papers.
"It (rechecking of papers) has never happened in our history," a top-level TU official told Republica, unwilling to be named.
