TU employees association reach agreement with TU administration

KATHMANDU, March 5: An agreement has been reached between the Tribhuvan University (TU) office-bearers and the employees association to address the demands raised by the employees.



As per the agreement reached following talks held here on Monday evening, the employees would be given permanent status through special promotion and internal competition, the staff will receive costume allowance, according to President of TU Nepal National Employees Association, Deepak Tiwari.[break]



A decision was reached to study the demands put forth by the employees and address them accordingly, Mr Tiwari said.



The employees had to resorting to lock-up of the TU administration department and staging a sit-in since the past few days, calling for fulfillment of various demands.
