Bidhan Lama, 8, died on the spot after the vehicle (Ba 1 Ka 6076) ran over him in Milan Chowk of Goldhunga. Following the incident, the locals staged protests demanding that the driver be punished. They also vandalized the truck.
According to DSP Basanta Kunwar, Chief of Metropolitan Police Circle Balaju, a few cops were also injured during the scuffle with protestors.
