KATHMANDU Jan 17: Nepal has qualified for the semifinals in both the men's and women's Kho Kho World Cup, which is taking place in New Delhi, India.
Nepal registered a comfortable 103-8 win over Iran in the women's quarterfinals at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on Friday. Nepal will now take on Uganda for a place in the final. Uganda defeated New Zealand 71-26 to reach the semifinals.

Nepal reached the quarterfinals as the winner of Group C'. Nepal had defeated Bhutan, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh in the group stage.
In the men's quarterfinals, Nepal registered a 67-18 win over Bangladesh. Nepal will now face Iran for a place in the final. Iran defeated Kenya 86-18 to reach the semifinals. Nepal had qualified for the quarterfinals as runners-up in Group 'A'. Nepal had beaten Peru, Brazil and Bhutan in the group stage.
