GAUSHALA, June 26: A motorcyclist was killed and his brother injured after getting rammed by a truck at Bardibas stretch of the East-West Highway this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Dhungel, 28, of Mahendranagar – 2 of Dhanusha district, according to District Police Office, Mahottari.
In the mishap, deceased's brother Sunil Dhungel, 26, was seriously injured. Both were rushed to Lalgadh Hospital for treatment where the elder brother succumbed to injuries, Superintendent of Police (SP) Janak Bhattarai said.
The brothers were heading west on a motorbike (Ba 68 Pa 6875) at 2 am when it was rammed by a truck (Na 3 Kha 4375) heading towards the same direction at Bardibas –1, SP Bhattarai said.
The elder brother died in course of treatment at the same hospital. The police have detained the driver and impounded the truck. RSS
