KATHMANDU: Three earthquakes shook eastern district Taplejung within an hour on Tuesday morning. The first tremor of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale was registered at 10.56 am, according to National Seismological Center, Department of Mines and Geology in Kathmandu. This was followed by two quakes of magnitude 4.0 on the Richter scale at 11.16 and 11.55 this morning. Epicenter of the three quakes was at Lamfaram in Tapelejung. A 4.8 Richter scale earthquake had shaken the capital city Kathmandu earlier on Monday. The epicenter of the tremor was at Sarsing in Rasuwa district north of Kathmandu valley.
