KATHMANDU, Nov 5: A mild earthquake of 5.7 Richter scale was felt across Kathmandu valley and some other parts of Nepal around 6:52 pm on Monday evening. The tremor had sent panic-stricken people rushing out of their homes for open grounds.
According to the preliminary information from National Seismological Centre in Kathmandu, the epicenter of the quake was in Tibet bordering Sindhulpalchowk district of Nepal, located north-east of the Kathmandu Valley. No casualties have been reported yet.
