Students’ protests in college areas in connection with yesterday’s Tri-Chandra incident, tension in Gongabu in connection with an alleged kidnapping bid that also occurred yesterday, and heightened security arrangement due to the prospective anti-China activities caused heavy traffic snarls throughout the city.
Metropolitan traffic has diverted heavy vehicles from Ring Road and also around the Chinese embassy and consular office till late morning.
Students blocked roads in Trichandra Campus, Pulchwok Engineering Campus and Chabahil Campus areas.
