DAMAULI (TANAHU), Aug 14: The landslide-obstructed Mauri Bazaar section of Myagde-6, Tanahun, along the Prithvi Highway has reopened.


Two-way traffic has resumed on the highway after the clearance of landslide debris. The landslide that occurred at Mauri Bazaar at 7.00 this morning disrupted the road traffic.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Tanahun, Mohan Bahadur Khand said the highway traffic has resumed after removing landslide debris with the help of two excavators in coordination with the local governments, disaster management police force and Chinese company.


Landslide vulnerability has increased in the Tanahun section of the Prithvi Highway due to incessant rain since the past couple of days.
