GORKHA, Sept 30: A foreign tourist died of high altitude sickness in course of trekking to Manaslu mountain in Samagaon of Chumunubri rural municipality-1. The incident took place on Saturday.
Polish citizen Rita Doneta Bladya,50, died of high altitude sickness in the third camp of the mountain, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Mitra Bandhu Sharma. She was brought down after falling sick, but passed away at camp III.
Meanwhile, bad weather is hampering efforts to bring her body further down, police said. The incident site is three days walk from the Samagon police post in northern Gorkha.
