TMDP withdraws support to govt

KATHMANDU, Jan 1: Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) has decided to withdraw its support to the government. “We concluded that the government participated also by the Madhesi parties could not work as per expectations of the Madhesi people,” said Sarvendra Nath Shukla, spokesperson of the party, after a meeting of party’s Central Work Performance Committee. “So we decided to withdraw support to the government and launch new protest.” The programs, however, will be decided by the party’s meeting Friday.
