KATHMANDU, Aug 13: Roads have been blocked at three places across three highways in Nepal due to incessant rainfall.
The ongoing heavy rainfall has resulted in the blockage of the road connecting Chatara-Mulghat-Majhitar-Amarapurdanda-Ganeshchowk, which falls under Tamor Corridor. The obstruction has occurred at Hewa river in Majhitar, Panchthar.
Five sections of various highways remain completely blocked
Similarly, the Tansen-Ridi-Korla highway under the Kaligandaki corridor has been blocked at Baisari in Myagdi.
Likewise, the Department of Roads (DoR) has said that the road connecting Ridi-Balkot-Hanspur-Pyuthan is blocked at Ashwini, Salyan.
Meanwhile, the Mugling-Narayanghat road section which was blocked due to landslides is now fully operational, according to the Road Division Office Bharatpur,
The officials of the DoR have stated that due to heavy rainfall, one-way traffic has been operating in 38 other places across the country.
