BUTWAL, Feb 7: As many as three people died and two were seriously injured after a car they were traveling in collided with a parked truck at Tamnagar in Butwal on early Monday. The deceased have been identified to be Sabin Tharu, 27, and Govinda Chaudhary, 28, and Nabin Shrestha, 30 from Butwal-13, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Thag Bahadur KC, chief of the Butwal Areal Police Office.
While one of the victims died on the spot, two others died in the course of treatment at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital. The injured two have been identified to be Bhagirath Chaudhary and Anish GC. While Bhagirath’s health is still in a critical condition, Anish is currently out of danger, DSP KC informed Republica.

According to locals, the truck had been parked on the road without any warning signs. Police say that such carelessness by parked vehicles is also a major cause of road accidents.
