This year's 'democratic fighter award' to Neupane

KATHMANDU, Jan 29: This year's 'democratic fighter award, 2080 BS' has been decided to confer on Bhaktapur's former lawmaker and Nepali Congress former district president Lekhnath Neupane.

The award will be presented to Neupane on February 8 amidst a special ceremony at the Office of President, Shital Niwas, according to Nim Kumari Rana Foundation's Chair Kabir Rana.

Likewise, this year's 'Min Kumari National Journalism Award' is to be presented to Deshantar Weekly's founding editor and senior journalist Kishore Nepal.   Similarly, 'National Sports Award' is to be given to former national boxer Prakash Thapa. The award carries a purse of Rs 51,001 each.
