Theatres told not to charge more than MRP on food and beverages

KATHMANDU, Oct 23: Food and beverages are not be sold at a price higher than the maximum retail price (MRP) in the theatres.


The Department of Commerce Supplies and Consumer Protection (DoCSCP) has issued a statement urging that sealed food and beverage packets or bottled drinks, including water and juice, are to be sold only at the MRP as stated on the labels attached.

The DCSCP has warned of action in accordance with the prevailing laws if it finds anyone charging a higher price.
