The singer who recently got married to Araj Keshab, a struggling singer, is now crossing her fingers, hoping her album will stand out in the box office. If it does it will certainly prove a good beginning to her married life.

Released by Music Nepal, Udayan has compositions and arrangements of Sugam Pokharel, Mohit Munal, Sujan KC, Suresh Rai, Sujil Karmacharya and Sameer Manandhar. On the lyrical part, the songs are penned by Araj Keshab, Sugam Pokharel, Suyesh Bhattarai, Suresh Rai, Beni Madhab Bhattarai, GM Pradhan, Purusottam Lamichhane and Dr Madan Gyawali.

What took Prashna so long to come up with her third volume?

The stage rocker instantly answered, “I was more focused on tours and other programs for three years. And, it took another two years to get done with this album. Honestly speaking, the future scenario of Nepali music is really scary and musical tours help us survive.”

Udayan has songs that fit your mood. According to Prashna, she has made sure each piece in her new volume will make many dance and many fall in love. She has tried to move closer to human sentiments and provide different varieties of musical notations.

With a music video of the track Pal Pal already completed, Prashna is all geared up to produce more music videos for her other music.

Speaking of the expectations she has from Udayan, she enunciated, “Obviously, I’m quite hopeful. But there’s also a silent fear deep inside me regarding the sales of the album. I’ve released my solo album after quite a long time. During these years many youngsters have made their niches in the industry. I hope I still have my loyal fans to listen to my songs.”

“Please buy a cassette. We sing for you and if you let us go unheard we can’t survive. The ongoing heavy load-shedding has already kicked us in the stomach as many don’t get to listen to our songs on radio and TV. So if you’ll start simply downloading our songs, we’ll earn nothing,” she urged.

Before concluding the conversation with myrepublica.com, Araj, who was also with us during the interview, looked into the eyes of his melodious wife and said, “She has a beautiful voice. I’m not saying this just because she’s my wife; but because I’m also into music and I figure it out if one has the potential to sing or not.”

In no time, Prashna too spoke for her dear hubby, “I’ve no words to describe how creative he is. Thank God! I’ve someone like him who compliments my work and understands my priorities.”

Now, having read everything, it becomes your duty to grab a copy of Udayan, which is available for Rs 225 at musical stores in your town and send Prashna feedback to her personal email address - prsh00@gmail.com.
