Journo Bhojraj Shrestha feted

DHARAN, Jan 11: Aarambha Natya Dabli (AND) felicitated young journalist Bhojraj Shrestha on the occasion of AND’s 29th anniversary. Shrestha was honored for his relentless work in the field of art reporting. At an event organized in Dharan on Tuesday, journalist Shrestha from Blast Dainak received the Prashna Bhakta Ranga Patrakarita Puraskar along with a cash prize of Rs 11,100.

DHARAN, Jan 11: Aarambha Natya Dabli (AND) felicitated young journalist Bhojraj Shrestha on the occasion of AND’s 29th anniversary. Shrestha was honored for his relentless work in the field of art reporting. At an event organized in Dharan on Tuesday, journalist Shrestha from Blast Dainak received the Prashna Bhakta Ranga Patrakarita Puraskar along with a cash prize of Rs 11,100. 


Also on the occasion, Chairperson of Arambha, Gopal Dewan, Chief Guest and Parliamentary Member of Sunsari 1, Jay Kumar Rai, along with language specialist and special guest, Dr Tanka Neupane, presented Shrestha with a khada(shawl) and certificate.

AND also honored artists Kulchandra Neupane, Dipendra Darnal, Narendra Rai, Tulasi Thapa and Kailash Karki with the tokens of love for their continued support in the art field. The award has been established in the name of Aarambha’s Secretary General Sachin Chhetri’s parents.


Dharan used to be a vibrant spot for dramas during the 80s, but the scenario is not the same anymore. However, programs like these that recognize artists’ works can ensure the revival of drama culture in Dharan.
