KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Time you changed your playlist because the new wave of songs have landed and we must say, the new songs are kicking and jiving on the airwaves all around K-Town.

From PSY to Christina Aguilera to Adam Lambert, all the singles are not only good but awesome! Something you would love to have on your playlist. Read on to find out who’s done what with the music and what you can expect out of them on Top Spin.[break]

Christina Aguilera – Your Body

After judging and mentoring the singing hopefuls on ‘The Voice’, Christina Aguilera is back on track with a killer single! Produced by Max Martin, the club banger, and sexy song “Your Body” serves as the official lead single from the pop diva’s much anticipated seventh album “Lotus” due out this November. Xtina really needed to play her cards right to nail a comeback for 2012. So she’s found the perfect song, “Your Body”.

Adam Lambert – Trespassing

American Idol fame Adam Lambert returns with his third single taken from his new album “Trespassing”. It’s the funky title track produced by Neptunes and NERD star Pharrell Willams! Very unlike Lambert it may sound but it sure is kicking. Perfect song to start your day with And definitely worth listening!

Alicia Keys featuring Nicki Minaj – Girl on Fire

Undergoing a bit of a makeover in recent months, Alicia Keys ditched her weave for a short, slick ‘90’s do and swapped her usual piano prop for some super revealing in an extremely sexy new promotional photo. But while her image may have changed, Keys is keeping it the same when it comes to her music. Like many of her R&B contemporaries, the singer takes the more-is-more approach by releasing three different versions of new single “Girl on Fire”. And they all rehash the same thumping drumbeat from the shout-singing of “No One”, and the anthem feel from her famous Jay-Z collaboration “Empire State of Mind”.

Nickelback – Trying Not To Love You

Canadian rockers Nickelback have revealed “Trying Not to Love You” as the fifth single from their current album “Here & Now”. The big ballad manages to impress us, just like their previous efforts, thanks to Chad Kroeger’s compelling vocals but this time, taking the spectacle is its music video. The band has taken a very different approach to the yearning love song which gets a light-hearted make-over in the clip with a very special guest star. The tongue-in-cheek video stars Jason Alexander, famous for the long-running TV sitcom ‘Seinfeld,’ and Baywatch babes Brooke Burns. YouTube people!

PSY – Gangnam Style

Only a few months back, some were posting the video link on Facebook and in no time, everybody was talking about it! Well, the song we are talking about is the highly viral “Gangnam Style” by Korean sensation PSY! He sure is creating history with this single which is also climbing the charts in the US and UK and the song has finally hit the airwaves of Kathmandu too. KTM is sure to go “Gangnam Style” whose theme according to PSY himself, is to dress classy and dance cheesy! What are we waiting for?

One Direction – Live While We’re Young

There’s no doubt that The X Factor UK fame One Direction are making it huge. The guys are releasing their sophomore album “Take Me Home” in November and leading the upcoming disc is the single “Live While We’re Young” which looks set to follow in the footsteps of previous hit singles “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing”. In other words, we see a smash hit here! The British lads are definitely here to STAY!

Songs you can also listen to:

Lana Del Rey – Summertime Sadness

Katie Melua – The Walls of the World

Tulisa featuring Tyga – Live It Up
