KATHMANDU, May 30: Five parties, including Tharuhat Rajya Parisad and Limbuwan Rajya Parisad, on Monday torched the five-point agreement signed by the Unified CPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress and CPN-UML to protest extension of the Constituent Assembly tenure.

At a press meet, the small parties torched copies of the agreement saying that the CA extension was ‘unwanted’.[break]

They also raised concern over the point that the past agreements signed with Madheshi parties will implemented by making Nepal Army truly an inclusive institution.

A press statement signed by the five parties hit back at the major parties and demanded that the agreement which doesn’t commits to implement signed with indigenous, Tharuhat, Janajatis, Limbuwan, Tamsaling and others is meaningless.

Chairman of Tharuhat Autonomous State Laxman Tharu said the third point of the agreement should be amended and warned of declaring an autonomous Tharuhat state.
