Thakur-led faction of JSP also decides to vote in favor of Deuba

KATHMANDU, July 18: Mahantha Thakur-led faction of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has also decided to extend support to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in parliament.

KATHMANDU, July 18: Mahantha Thakur-led faction of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has also decided to extend support to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in parliament. 


This comes shortly after newly-appointed Prime Minister Deuba asked the Thakur-led faction of the JSP to vote in his favor in parliament.

Uma Shankar Argariya, a JSP lawmaker close to the Thakur-led faction, said they decided to support Deuba after the latter expressed committment to address their demands.


Prime Minister Deuba has sought vote of confidence in parliament that is currently underway. Earlier today, the Yadav-led faction of the JSP had decided to extend support to Deuba. 


The CPN(Maoist Center) has also decided to vote in favor of NC President Deuba.
