TFN rebuilding communities

By
KATHMANDU, May 1: Following the massive quake of Saturday, that severely affected more than 25 VDCs in Sindhupalchowk and Lalitpur districts where Teach For Nepal (TFN) has been working, they have launched their 'Rebuild our Communities' campaign. Through this, TFN will work in two phases—Immediate Relief and Reconstructing the Communities.

The funds raised through the campaign are intended to help 5,000 families from 28 villages in these two districts where TFN works. TFN has 25 placement schools in these districts.

TFN tragically lost one of their fellows in Sanga Chowk, Sindhupalchowk. "Before the rescue team reached the area, she had already breathed her last," informed Jigme Sherpa, a TFN Fellow.

Shisir Khanal, CEO of TFN said, "Rescue, rehabilitation and relief efforts from the government as well as from other sides have not reached the villages. Hence they are in urgent need of help."
