KATHMANDU, June 9: Nepal is currently experiencing extreme heat. Okhaldhunga, Sunsari, Illam, and Nawalparasi have registered the highest recorded temperature in history.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM), Dumkauli in Nawalpur, Dharan in Sunsari, Kanyam in Ilam, and Okhaldhunga have witnessed record-breaking maximum temperatures.
According to the DHM, the temperature reached 31 degrees in Okhaldhunga, 39.3 degrees in Dharan, 30 degrees in Kanyam tea garden, and 43.8 degrees Celsius in Dumkauli in Nawalpur.
