RAUTABHAT, Sept 2: A 15-year-old girl from the Dalit community of Madhavnarayan Municipality-5 has been gang-raped.

Three boys of Mithuawa Tol of Madhavnarayan Municipality-5 allegedly raped the Dalit girl on Tuesday afternoon when she was going to collect some firewood. Neighbors found the victim crying in pain and took her to her home. According to the chief of Area Police Office, Garuda, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shri Ram Bhandari, the girl is undergoing treatment at a local health facility and one of the boys allegedly involved in the incident has been arrested.

Based on the girl's statement, police arrested 18-year-old Kisuni Sahani at around 12PM on Tuesday. “Proceedings for the accused under a rape case have been extended for five days by the District Court, Gaur and we are searching for the other two boys involved in the incident,” Bhandari said.
