PMO Secretary Trilochan Upreti is leading the team. The fast-unto-death hunger strike has been taking place since the last 12 days and is being staged to protest against corrupt measures adopted by the VDCs, in the district.
It has been learnt that the health of the protesters has deteriorated and that they have lost weight due to the fasting. Santakumar Das, 18, Sharadha Bhusal, 35 and Ramdulari Mandal, 55 have all lost five to seven kilo´s of weight.
The fast is taking a severe toll in their health as they are not able to move about due to fatigue and weakness.
Das and Mandal have been on saline water since Tuesday while another local Dukhi Thakur Barahi also joined the hunger strike that very day.
