Tarun Dal member killed in Banke (Updated)

BANKE, July 23: An unidentified gang murdered Nepali Congress-affiliated Tarun Dal´s Banke member Subash Chandra Barnawal, 35, at Ramnagar on Wednesday night.



Barnawal was returning home from his work on his motorbike when the gang attacked him with knives, according to Area Police Office. Barnawal was contracted by District Development Committee to collect tax.



Police said they are investing the case and have not arrested anyone in connection with the case so far.



Meanwhile, Tarun Dal Banke Seceratary Amrit KC said they would organize a transport strike along the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road section to protest Barnawal´s murder and to pressure to arrested the murderers. If the murderers were still not found, they would an indefinite chakka jam, KC added.
