LAHAN, Sept 10: Indian police arrested four members of the agitating armed Tarai outfit called Madhes Rastra Janatantrik Party-Revolutionary (MRJP-R) including the group´s acting president Ram Babu Yadav a.k.a. Ranabir Singh from Darbhanga on Wednesday night.
The other arrested include the armed outfit´s central spokesperson Ram Brikshya Mahato a.k.a Bibas Bidrohi and two other central members - Ram Narayan Yadav and Ram Bilas Yadav.
The arrested have currently been detained at Jayanagar Police Station -- some 15 km away from Nepali border in Siraha district.
Indian police officer Umesh Singh in Darbhanga said they will be handed over to Nepal Police after due legal process.
Nepal Police had put the arrested duos in its wanted list as the group is involved in criminal activities including kidnapping, killing and extortions.
The central president of the armed group, Ram Narayan Mahato a.k.a. Sandesh, was killed in ´police encounter´ in Siraha recently.
Leaders of various armed Tarai groups have started to flee to India after police in Nepal mounted its operation against them as part of the special security plan.
