Claiming that a national government would be formed soon, Yadav said, “In his meeting with Chairman Prachanda, Jhala Nath [Khanal] has put forward a proposal for an alternative government.”
“We are also discussing forming such an alternative government. MPRF wants formation of a new national government as soon as possible,” Yadav said while addressing a press conference in Biratnagar on Tuesday.
The MPRF Vice-Chairman Jaya Prakash Prasad Gupta said talks are on for forming an alternative government not only with the disappointed faction of the UML, but also with a big disgruntled section of the Nepali Congress.
Gupta said, “An alternative government is needed as the Madhav Nepal-led government is engaged in dirty games.” Chaiman Yadav added that Nepal-led government is losing the opportunity of forming a national consensus government.
Yadav blamed the UML and NC for bringing split in the MPRF. He added that Tarai-Madhes Democratic Party and Sadbhavana Party have helped the new government to be seen as the foremost force in the Tarai. “Although there is division in the parliament, the split has made no difference in the MPRF´s organization,” Yadav claimed. Yadav also pointed that his party is ready to start third Tarai movement if the state continues to disregard the issues of the Madhesi people.
