KATHMANDU, Oct 4: The temple of Taleju Bhawani, which is located in the Hanumandhoka Durbar area, is opened only once a year, on Maha Navami day. Hanumandhoka Palace Management and Conservation Office said that the preparations for opening the temple and giving devotees a chance to visit the temple have been completed.
Taleju Bhawani is brought to the main square of Hanumandhoka Palace on the day of Phulpati. It is said that Taleju Bhavani will be returned to the original temple only in the morning on Bijaya Dashami.

On the night of Maha Ashtami, 54 goats and 54 buffaloes were sacrificed. It is said that Kalaratri Puja was performed on Monday night with Tantric method to get the power to run the state.
