RSP candidate Dr Swarnim Wagle registers his candidacy for Tanahu-1 by election

TANAHU, April 3: Dr. Swarnim Wagle, representing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has registered his nomination for the by-election in Tanahu-1.

TANAHU, April 3: Dr. Swarnim Wagle, representing the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has registered his nomination for the by-election in Tanahu-1. 


Bishwa Bastola, a former district secretary of Nepali Congress who recently joined RSP, is his proponent, and Dr. Rupak Ghimire is his supporter.

Rabi Lamichhane, the chairman of RSP, has also expressed his support for the nomination. He reached Tanahu after registering his candidacy in Chitwan 2 earlier in the day. 


The Election Commission has set the deadline for nominations at 5 pm today, with the polls scheduled to take place on April 23. Other candidates who have registered their nominations include Govinda Bhattarai from Nepali Congress and Sarvendra Khanal from CPN-UML. 


The by-elections are being held because Ramchandra Paudel of Nepali Congress, who won the elections last November, was elected as the President.
